Photos and collection records: kept on your device
Your collection records (names, series, quantities, dates added, and so on) live in a database on your device. Photos you take or select are copied into the app's own storage, and EXIF metadata — including location — is stripped before saving. Each entry holds up to 5 photos.
The current version does not upload your photos or collection contents to our servers. Deleting the app deletes this on-device data with it.
Downloading the catalog
The app downloads designer-toy catalog data (public information about brands, series, and figures, plus catalog imagery) over HTTPS from peachwidgets.site to show your series progress.
These requests carry none of your collection content and no device identifier. That said, as with any website, our servers keep basic access logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and troubleshooting. We never use these logs for advertising or to identify you.
iCloud backup and sync
On iPhone, you can back up your entire collection — photos and records alike — to your own iCloud account via "My → Cloud". Backups are stored in your CloudKit private database, accessible only through your iCloud account. Taozi cannot read them, and their handling is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
If multiple devices change your collection at the same time, the app does not merge or overwrite either side.
Feedback you send us
Only when you submit feedback through "My → Feedback" do we receive what you wrote, via peachwidgets.site/popkeep-feedback/: a message of up to 150 characters and up to 4 images you explicitly attach (the app compresses them to a longest edge of about 2048 pixels first).
Feedback is stored as plain files on our server, with no device information or diagnostic logs attached. As with catalog downloads, server access logs may include your IP address.
What we don't do
- No ads, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- No third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No device identifiers (such as IDFA/IDFV), and no access to contacts, health, or location.
Permissions and withdrawing them
The camera is used only when you photograph a figure to add it. Photos are chosen through the system photo picker: the app processes only the images you select and never asks for your entire library. You can revoke either permission at any time in iOS Settings → PopKeep; the related features stop working, but your saved data is unaffected.
Retention and deletion
- On-device data stays on your device until you delete the app.
- iCloud backups are under your iCloud account's control: manage them in system iCloud settings, or email us to help remove them.
- To delete feedback you've submitted, email 915079987@qq.com and we'll take care of it after verifying your request.
- Server access logs are rotated out under our server log policy.
Changes to this policy
If a future version introduces new networked capabilities (such as photo recognition), we will update this policy before the feature ships and note the new effective date. The latest version on this page always applies.
